Andy Waeyaert started his career with the Illinois Department of Transportation in 2005 as a summer Technician in the Bureau of Project Implementation assisting in the testing of materials used in road construction. After graduating from Western Illinois University in 2007, he accepted a position as a staffer for a member of the United States House of Representatives who represented Western Illinois on the Transportation and Education/Labor Committees. In 2010, Andy returned to the Illinois Department of Transportation working on special projects. In 2011, he worked as the Safety and Claims Manager overseeing the implementation of OSHA/IL-OSHA regulations and other safe work practices as well investigation of employee injury/accidents. After 8 years with IDOT, Andy joined the III FFC as a Construction Analyst serving the Illinois counties of Henry, Bureau, LaSalle, Putnam, and Livingston. In 2019, Andy was promoted as the Regional Director of Iowa. Andy resides in the Quad Cities area with his wife and two children. He is active in his community serving as the President of the Moline-Coal Valley School Board, Board Member on the Aldridge Early Learning Center, and volunteer baseball coach for the Moline Little League.
