Indiana, Illinois, Iowa Foundation for Fair Contracting Announces 2024 Awardees
BETTENDORF, IA – The Indiana, Illinois, Iowa Foundation for Fair Contracting (III FFC) is proud to announce the recipients of its Public Body of the Year, Project of the Year, and Contractor of the Year awards. These awards will be presented at the Annual Construction Industry & Public Official Appreciation Dinner on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Isle Casino & Hotel Bettendorf.
The III FFC recognizes the dedication, excellence, and commitment of these awardees in upholding the highest standards in public construction and infrastructure development in the Quad Cities. This year’s honorees are:
Public Body of the Year: City of Moline
The City of Moline has been selected as the Public Body of the Year in recognition of its outstanding commitment to advancing infrastructure and community development through collaboration with top-tier responsible contractors.
Project of the Year: Rebuild Downtown Rock Island Redevelopment
For demonstrating innovation and collaboration in revitalizing downtown Rock Island to benefit businesses and residents alike for generations to come. This project will kick-start Rock Island’s future as a destination hub for entire Quad Cities.
Contractor of the Year: Central Excavating
For its outstanding work in the construction industry, commitment to hiring and training a skilled workforce, and adherence to fair contracting standards.

The III FFC’s Annual Construction Industry & Public Official Appreciation Dinner serves as an opportunity to celebrate achievements in public works construction while strengthening collaboration between industry leaders, contractors, and public officials.
The III FFC is a nonprofit construction industry foundation, established to increase market share for responsible contractors, work opportunities for skilled craftsworkers, and value for taxpayers by executing a comprehensive program of procurement oversight, jobsite monitoring, market analysis, and public policy education.
