Marc Poulos, Executive Director
Marc Poulos is the Executive Director of the III FFC. After spending several years in the trades while attending night school, he graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor and a certificate in Labor and Employment Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, he clerked for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 Legal Department and later became IUOE Local 150’s Associate General Counsel. Marc is a proud Local 150 member and sits on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Prevailing Wage Council, the National Alliance for Fair Contracting and Midwest Operating Engineers Information Technologies. Marc is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, Washington D.C. Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
Melissa Binetti, Counsel for the Foundation
Melissa obtained her law degree and a certificate in Labor and Employment Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2004. While at Chicago-Kent she served as a student editor for the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal. Melissa is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, the United State District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Kara Principe, Counsel for the Foundation
Kara joined the III FFC after graduating cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in May 2010. While at Northern, Kara served as President of the Justinian Society Italian-American Law Student Association. Kara also participated in Moot Court and was a member of the Student Bar Association. Kara is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, and the Northern District of Indiana. Kara is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Josh Weger, Policy Director
Josh Weger leads III FFC's policy development, strategic planning, and research & analysis. Prior to joining III FFC, he spent four years as Deputy Director of the Illinois Capital Development Board. At CDB Josh managed a $3.9 billion construction program and directed a staff of 60 architects, engineers, project managers, and support staff. Prior to his work at CDB, Josh was employed at the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, where he held positions including Policy Director and Region Manager. Before joining DCEO, Josh was employed by the Office of the Illinois Auditor General and the Illinois House of Representatives. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Political Science, both from the University of Illinois Springfield.
Dana Prasauskas, Administrative Assistant
Dana Prasauskas joined the III FFC after sixteen years as a legal secretary in the Loop and South Suburbs, including 3 years as a legal secretary for the IUOE Local 150 Legal Department. Dana credits her success to her outgoing personality, years of experience and ability to quickly adapt. She enjoys the variations of her job at the III FFC including balancing her legal and fiscal responsibilities.
Allison Taylor, Comptroller
Allison Taylor joined the III FFC after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Benedictine University. Since her graduation, she has overseen the III FFC's accounting tasks, financial reporting procedures, and accounts receivable and payable.
Jill Gigstad, Communications Specialist
Jill Gigstad is the Communications Specialist at III FFC, working to promote, market, and communicate the III FFC's efforts to contractors, workers, and political officials. She joined the III FFC after working as the Midwest Researcher and on communications-related tasks at the Illinois Economic Policy Institute. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from Iowa State University.
